This is both the Ultimate writers' tool and DOS retro machine rolled into one unit. This device uses DOS 3.1, CGA graphics, a 32 mega hertz 80X86 processor , it uses a Compact Flash Drive for storage, weighs only 1.5 pounds, and runs 50 hours on 4 double A batteries. Simply amazing ! It has all the basic productivity applications built in, including a spreadsheet, word processor , scheduler etc.. But more importantly it will run old DOS applications such as MS WORD, Wordperfect , and MS Works. Its a bit pricey on the web site, but I found a used one on ebay for a fraction of the retail cost. This is a must have for anyone you writes and/or enjoys old school DOS. DOS 3.1 is about 1984. It is not perfect, but it is the best.
